VT Training Day

Alan Brown, Managing Director of Radica hosted a training session for operators and engineers using the Davicom MAC telemetry system on Monday 21st July at VT's new head office, the Blue Fin building.

With a growing number of applications for the Davicom MAC the training session provided new and existing users to the product a better understanding of how the MAC ticks. From VT's side the event was organised by Paul Barton and was a huge success with a total of 15 VT staff attending the event. For further information on Davicom MAC click Here

Tech Tips

Problems with levels?

To get the most out of internet streaming we recommend you start with the basics. One of the simplest things to get right, and also the most overlooked, are audio levels into your encoding PC.

If the audio level is too high you get crackly distorted streaming and could even damage the soundcard in your PC. If the level is too low, you will not get the best quality out of your encoder and your listeners will be complaining that the station “is not loud enough!”.

We recommend the Audessence PodBlaster. This clever unit provides dynamic range correction over 30dB and reacts instantaneously to level problems. It can correct sympathetically and can be programmed for different programme genres to give you the best level correction. Happy levels = happy listeners.
